Sampled on-tap at the brauerei gasthaus.
This bockbier poured a slightly hazy, pale amber color with pillowy, white foam that settled slowly. The smell was lightly malty, but modest. The taste was malty with a hint of Munich malt flavor and a mild sweetness. The hoppiness was mild and came out in the finish. The mouthfeel was smooth but with a crisp sharpness. The body was medium and the carbonation strong. A light, sweet maltiness lingered in the aftertaste. This was a pretty good, easy-drinking bockbier.
