From the 5 liter keglet, it pours a lightly hazy brown color wit a nice light tan head that stays and stays. Caramel malt is in the nose. In the mouth, it is a lovely caramel and malty flavor. Nice!

On cask at Max's for the Shelton Brothers event at Baltimore Beer Week
Brownish amber with good clarity, just a touch of haze, there's a thin off-white head that lasts, leaving great lacework. The nose is great. Caramel, chocolate (cocoa), earthy hops with a touch of citrus. Quite deep, I love the caramel and chocolate notes paired with the earthy hops and the clean lager character. Medium in body, this beer opens up with a touch of brown sugar, burnt caramel, chocolate and coffee before the hops kick in, earthy and slightly mineral-like witha touch of sugar. Carbonation is soft, and the long and delicate finish with hops and a touch of caramel. Thoroughly drinkable, it's sad that I'll never see this again.

Sampled on-tap at the brauerei gasthaus.
This kellerbier lager poured a light brown color with sudsy, tan foam that settled to a thin coat. The smell was a light malty aroma. The taste was malty, lightly sweet, with a hint of caramel and a taste of grain, together with moderate hoppiness to balance. A very pleasant down to earth flavor. The mouthfeel was smooth with good carbonation and medium body and a malty aftertaste. This was a great kellerbier - very enjoyable and drinkable!
