Very nice barleywine. Tasty for sure, tastier than average. slightly above average mouthfeel. Sweet without being sugary sweet. An element of bourbon.

Bottle: Poured a clear amber color ale with a large foamy head with OK retention and some light lacing. Aroma of caramelized malt with some toffee notes with discreet residual sugar notes and some bourbon and vanilla notes. Taste is also a mix of caramelized malt with some toffee notes and some residual sugar notes with some bourbon notes with vanilla and woody notes with some light candy like notes also discernible. Body is about average with good carbonation with light warming alcohol notes. Solid barleywine with good level of complexity.
