Bottle: Poured a clear amber color ale with a large foamy head with OK retention and some light lacing. Aroma of caramelized malt with some toffee notes with discreet residual sugar notes and some dry Cognac barrel-aged notes. Taste is also a mix of caramelized malt with some toffee notes and some residual sugar notes with some dry Cognac notes with light oak presence with some light candy like notes also discernible. Body is about average with good carbonation with light warming alcohol notes. Solid barleywine with good level of complexity.
