From the 16 oz can in a snifter. This solid stout pours a coal black with
a very nice head of tan foam that settles to a thick ring, thick clumping
layer, and sports some excellent lacing. Nose of moderate coffee, rich chocolate,
spicy hop nuances, and dark fruits dashed with vanilla. Flavors surpass the
nose with rich dark coffee, vanilla, dark bakers chocolate, dark fruits of blackberry
and light raspberry, moderate char, deep roast, and light tobacco dashed with smoke.
Mouth feel is full, smooth, rich, coating, and finishing with a nice bitter malt
and roast note.
Overall, I look for a quality stout and this one checks the boxes!
Roast, char, cocoa, coffee, vanilla, dark fruits....ON POINT!
Excellent!
Cheers
