Pours a hazy, brown'ish golden coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of doughy wheat, spicy clove esters and hoppy accents of citrus and grass. Taste is a great balance of sweet'ish, doughy wheat malt, predominantly spicy and slightly fruity yeast esters of clove and banana and distinct hoppy accents of grass and citrus. Finishes with a light/medium bitterness and some sweet malt, spicy esters and hoppy accents lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
A Weizenbock with quite a mellow balance of doughy wheat malt, spicy/fruity yeast esters and hoppy notes, with none of these elements standing out too much, making for quite an equal flavor profile, although it is perhaps noticeably hoppy for the style. A very enjoyable example of the style that leaves room for every element of the flavor profile to shine without anything becoming too overbearing.

This is the best non-Schneider weizen bock I've tried. Lovely hoppiness, easy to drink. Some weizenbocks can be a bit boozy but not this. If you're in the Bamberg region then definitely keep a look out for this!

From the half liter bottle, it pours a hazy moderately dark amber with a small head (unusual for weizenbier-less so for weizenbock). Orange and banana in the nose. Enjoyable taste! Recommended and DANGEROUS!
