Yields a slightly clouded pale golden color with a bigger, noisy white head atop.
Aromas offer fresh cut garden herbs, grass and dried straw among a note of kneaded brioche dough.
Its mouthfeel is soft and velvet with a late, bursting effervescence, revealing a very well balanced, light bodied beer.
Tastes of an initial aqueous softness, complimented by crackers and a note of toffee, gently wrapped up into dry and spicy herbs and rustic grains. Its mid palate develops both a glowing caramel forward sweetness and a more profound hop spiciness, balanced by a rustic, coumarin forward mowed lawn foundation. Finishes with smooth honey, toasty nuts and maintaining subtle, yet complex grains among a lingering, long lasting hop crispness.
This is incredibly well done, with a fantastic balance and depth to it. Every nuance in this adds to the overall expression of the beer, which is easy drinkable throughout while revealing new layers of flavors at the same time.

Pours a cloudy, golden amber coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of of sweet doughy, bready malt and floral, grassy hops. Taste is a decent balance of quite sweet doughy, bready, slightly grainy malt and floral, grassy, slightly herbal hops. Finishes rather sweet, with a very light bitterness and some sweet malts and floral, grassy hops lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
I'm sure this makes for a very nice Märzen, but is just way too sweet and floral for my personal taste, with very little bitterness coming through for balance. Its one saving grace are some herbal, perhaps even slightly spicy hops that cannot quite balance out that sweetness and the quite floral and somewhat grassy hops either though.

Award winner (2015 and 2016 International Craft Bier Award in Gold). From the flip top bottle, it pours a slightly hazy amber with a modest head. Scent of malt in the nose. Taste of malt in the mouth. Some bitterness comes through as well - well balanced and lovely!
2023 - Now in a standard German half liter bottle with crown cork.
