Yields a filtered golden color with a gigantic, froth head atop.
Offers aromas of soft hay, fresh cut garden herbs and a whiff of honey infused malts, together with just a note of rustic leather.
Its mouthfeel is surprisingly soft and mellow with a certain creaminess to it, while developing a late carbonation spark, featuring a light bodied beer.
Tastes of honeyed straw, leafy hops and subtle, yet rustic cakey malts, softened by bread dough and a pillowy soft mouthfeel. Its mid palate turns sweeter with more toffee cutting through and a scoop of caramel among bitter turning hops, which manage to inherit a certain spiciness. Finishes refreshingly bitter, crisp and well rounded by a backing malt backbone, which goes very well with the spicy hops by adding just enough sweetness to the beer.
This is a great Lager with a world class mouthfeel to it, featuring a great balance and flavor intensity throughout.

330 ml swingtop bottle, from Vaaland, Bryne. ABV is 4.7%. Golden colour, moderate white head. Malty and grainy aroma. Decent mouthfeel for its ABV. Malty flavour but not too sweet, moderate herbal hops in the finish.

Its very simple lager. The typical. Not much to rate about.

Poured a half liter bottle into my Stein and as a result I do not know what it looks like aside from a good amount of uneven bubbled foam.
It smells of pilsner malt, yeast and a little spicy hops
The tongue receive a mild but expressed hop spicy bitterness. Some pilsner malt and a mineral presence
Refreshing carbonation, not too thin
Good lager that stradles a Pilsener and a Helles. Nice

A: Pale, clear, large thick head, great lacing and
retention, lots of bubbles, looks lively and inviting.
S: Grassy, noble hop aroma, Spalt or Hallertau?.
T: Sour dough, grassy, slight sweetness at the
finish, well balanced.
M: Light, crisp, well carbonated.
O: Really impressed by the look and
feel, didn’t smell or taste bad either, a good
refreshing, fairly interesting Lager.

Served from a bottle into a Guinness pint glass in Bamberg, Germany in June 2011. Reviewed from notes.
A: Pours a 4.5 finger head of slight cream and decent thickness. Retention is okay. Colour is a semitransparent dark yellow. Sort of appealing.
Sm: Hoppy body. That's it. Very simple, bland, and boring. A mild strength aroma.
T: A bit more simple than expected even based on the aroma. Quite hoppy and fresh. Nice barley foundation, but not great. Not necessarily balanced. A biteen of cream. Very boring indeed.
Mf: Slightly creamy but adequately coarse whilst retaining some freshness and wetness. Unrefreshing. Doesn't suit the style.
Dr: The low ABV comes through too much. Not very drinkable and fairly expensive in Bamberg. This is best avoided.

BB 13-03-07. Good& lasting thick white foam and golden and clear beer. Nose is quiet yeast spicy, herbal and good influence of malts making it fresh and fruity with litle sulphur note. Fine and moderate bitterness, full malt body and well carbonated. Good and enjoyable beer that's well balanced and bit of the regular IMO.
