Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a lightly haze golden-yellow color with a large head of puffy white foam. The head has a decent retention, fading over time and leaving a bit of spotty lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is heavy of a grainy and bready smell mixed with notes of yeast and some dough. Along with these smells comes a light toast and a touch of peach.
Taste – The taste begins with a bready and cracker malt paired with flavors of dough and yeast. There is also a little bit of peach and a touch of wheat, giving a softness to the flavor. The tastes upfront persist to the end, and a joined by a little bit of hay, leaving one with a somewhat grainy, but balanced taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is crisp with a higher level of carbonation. Both are great for the flavors and the low abv. making of a nice easy sipper.
Overall – A rather flavorful, but very approachable Kolsch. A nice summer sipper.
