A mild stout, destined to be aged in Plantation Rum barrels. Toffee, rich demerara sugar, a pinch of cinnamon and banana notes round out the bright expression of what is so frequently considered to only be a heavy beer style.

HUGE rum character. Stout base is a touch thin, but the Plantation really comes through w/ caramelized apple to balance chocolate notes and good barrel heat. Arguably too much barrel, but I'd always rather have too much more than too little.
