12 ounce can - Woodstock Beer Market in Woodstock, Georgia.
Appearance: Near black body with a medium-small, thinning, light khaki-colored head.
Smell: Oh brother. A vague scent of chocolate syrup and fusel alcohol wafts.
Taste: Astringent dark roasted malts with a less-than-ideal chocolate additive flavor, flashes of black cherry tartness and all the while a hot, harsh booziness that holds on tight. Such a big beefy brew with seemingly pleasant additives should and could cover a myriad of brewing sins. Instead, it's a unpleasant beer.
Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Medium carbonation.
Overall: Oof. I'd heard SF had gotten better. This beer would advise otherwise.
