Thanks to joshstl for this extra! Look is promising (if not quite aesthetically pleasing) - golden-colored and hazy is how I like my IPAs. Bits of sediment detract even more from the general look, though. And then there's the aroma, which is a letdown. While the biscuity malt backbone is pleasant, I'm really missing a lot of hop character. Maybe there's a touch of grapefruit and floral character, but that's it. It similarly lacks flavor down on the taste buds. All I'm picking up is generic bitterness, a touch of floral notes, and um...maybe some biscuit malt? There's very little to this beer. The texture is nice, though - creamy yet dry, endemic of a good unfiltered beer - too bad it doesn't have the proper flavor profile to prop it up. I'm not sure how old this is...and to the defense of my trading partner, I doubt even he knew when it was canned. Where's the date, guys? Without any hints of when this was brewed, I have no choice but to give this a subpar score.

Not a hop bomb, but rather a fine alw with seroious hop character. Balanced and drinkable. The appearance is golden, with floaties and a white head. The smell is a mid of herbal hops and soft malt. Bitter finish. Good.

12oz can. Poured out a clear, copper color with a very small, thin tan head of foam. It smelled of pine, fresh cut grass and some caramel maltiness. It tasted of burnt toast maltiness with sweet caramel notes. Very sweet with not much bitterness.
