back on at the brewery. pours a very clear light orange to amber color with a small white head. the nose is as malty as it is pumpkin based, which i like, very little on the spice front too, which is a nice change of pace to the heavy allspice clove cinnamon beers around right now. flavor is really crisp, i like the lager style with pumpkin because it tends to be lighter and snappy, compared to some of the much more full bodied long finishing pumpkin ales. this has a nice squashy taste, again, light on spice, with the caramel malts doing most of the heavy lifting. some subtle hops too at the end. feel is great, light and sessionable, with good carbonation and a finish only a lager can provide. i thought overall that this was a cool beer, a little bit off the beaten path, and perfect for a long session on a chilly evening. one of my favorites at morgan street.

I suppose this is Morgan Street Brewery's ordinary Vienna Lager brewed with pumpkin spices in it. But if there was a pumpkin in there I couldn't taste it. The color is amber but the usual malty and slightly roasted taste is overpowered by the spices. Infact, it tastes pretty much as if someone has mixed a cinnamon roll in it. Smells like cinnamon rolls as well. Odd as it sounds, it's still an intersting beer to drink. But I doubt that you will have more than one.
