Reviewed 11/14/2008 (Tap sampler @ Morgan Street Brewery, St. Louis, MO):
Pours a brown color body, somwehat orange. Creamy off-white head, lots of bubbles. Clean aroma, but not much there. Some grain or wheatiness. Has a clean taste, something like grain or rye. Some bitterness. Not much flavor. Somewhat soft mouthfeel. Some sweetness. Malty. Eh, just okay.

I sampled this beer at the brewpub. It was a nice amber beer with good, white foam which left some lace on the glass. The aroma was very faint. The taste was good: nice hops and some wheat. The mouthfeel was good and the drinkability was good. Overall a good ale, and one of the better ones I tried there.

This is by far my favorite Morgan Street brew. In the glass with a Brown flaxen color and foamy thin lace, the beer wafts a light buttery aroma. The complex flavor is different than any other dark wheat I have tasted. Initial buttery notes give way to a clean light roasted malt and a prominent grapefruity hop presence. A nice change form some of the ester darks.
