From the half liter bottle, it pours a slightly hazy slightly golden amber color with a modest off-white head that slowly reduces to a thin layer and ring. The nose gets some spiciness with the malt, followed by the mouth getting a slightly yeasty, spicy pleasantly malty flavor.

came across a selection of kellerbiers in warsaw at a local shop.
had a great look of brown amber with a great lager body and head of dough fluff. nose of dingy straw apple, and augmented wheat malt. this wasn't the same sort of wheat you find in a hef but a faint hint. a similar sort of straw ding, that i wouldn't call smokey but more so dusty in the palate too. as if one stepped into folliage in the woods and the popping leaves brought up by its agitation. not a distinct sour like some of the more successful ones but still quite drinkable. a basic but very german varietal of yeast. a great lager in form... but not that rich of a keller quality.
