the more robust of the ipa beers we had in here, tsunami notwithstanding, i mean compared to the holo holo, this one is more bitter, more malty, has more body, seems quite a bit more robust and has a richer color, but isnt really heavy to drink, it just leads a little harder with the hops, takes a different approach to balance, but yet like all their beers, is quite chill really, like its just no fuss liquid, not interesting or trying to be, but also very well executed, which i think counts for a lot. we see it working for places like georgetown in the northwest, this feels similar, good beer, recognizable branding, no experimental hops, floor malted exotic grains, or new fangled thiolized yeasts, its old school beer in that sense, and this does what the likes of stone and lagunitas do, be bold and distinctive without really doing anything crazy, some good company to keep. drier than it looks, lightly nutty, a hint of acorn to the grain, lemongrass maybe in the hops but this seems basic, northwestern, and higher alpha. good hop schedule, classic in that way, full spectrum intentionally, not all dry hops, neutral ferment, big bubbles. i like this, does it taste like a lot of others, yeah it does, but greatness is often copied and i have no issue with a well made ipa in the iconic vein. this place is cool, check it out. cool cans too!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
