Brauerei-Gasthof Mainlust Bayer

Brauerei Mainlust seemed to be the center of the town of Viereth along the Main just north and west of Bamberg in Franken. The rooms are well arranged and clean but basic - ours had a shower but no toilet - which made it more attractive due to the lower price! Note that they may have rooms with toilets and showers, but ours did not. The food was excellent Frankish cuisine (to me) - we had Spargel (white asparagus) as it was Spargelzeit (spargel time) and it was well prepared and tasty. Service was sparse when we visited with only one waiter and one server for the restaurant (for a while, the brewer came and helped along with another person later) - they were moving fast, however! The breakfast included with the room was the usual excellent German breakfast and they did not skimp. Currently they brew a few biers, which I will review separately. Bottom line: Reasonable, with good food and good bier.
