Like pyrography where fire is used to burn images onto a medium, dark malts of our Pyrograph Black Lager are used to scribe their flavors into the typically light and crisp lager body. Hints of chocolate and roasted malt add depth to the flavor profile without the heaviness associated with porters and stouts. The Pyrograph Black Lager is a great example of light and dark working together to make the world a tastier place.

Pint pour on draught at the brewery. It pours an elegant black with mahogany hues, and a large, creamy, light mocha-colored head and thick rings of lacing inside the glass. Its smell features dark roasted malt and hints of chocolate, tobacco smoke, and earthy char. The taste is similar to the nose; it's dry and roasty with notes of baker's chocolate, burnt coffee grounds, tobacco, and char. Its mouthfeel is lite and crisp with pleasant carbonation, and it's an easy drinker at 5.3% ABV. Overall, Pyrograph is a pleasant, easy drinking Black Lager. I enjoyed it. It paired nicely with pizza.
