Bark Ruffalo Hazy IPA

Pint pour on draught at the brewery. It pours a hazy, dirty tangerine color with more than a half finger of creamy, milk-white head and thick, clinging lacing with excellent retention. It's a great appearance. On the nose there is subtle lemon and grapefruit and a whiff of tangerine. This ale is brewed with flaked wheat which gives it a crackery base that nicely balances with tart citrus and notes of berry and melon from the Mosaic, Citra, and Galaxy hops. The Idaho 7 hops provide hints of pine and the El Dorado adds clean bitterness throughout. The mouth feel is quite thick and creamy for the 5.6% ABV and the level of carbonation is appropriate. It drinks very easily. Overall, Bark Ruffalo Hazy IPA is very well-crafted and enjoyable. I'm looking forward to drinking it again on my next trip to Chapel Hill. Hopefully, cans will be available.
