Pint on draught at the brewery. It pours a deep cola color with a thin, foamy, ecru-colored head and lacing. The smell offers subdued, freshly-brewed coffee, roasted malt, and earthy notes. The taste is outstanding! Fresh coffee, roasted malt, and earthy, nutty char which balances the initial sweetness. As it warms in the glass the flavors really develop. It was also served at an appropriate temperature - not too cold. It has a good, creamy mouth feel with pleasant carbonation, and the 6.4% ABV gives it good substance without overpowering. You can easily drink another pour of this Ale or one of Dingo Dog's other offerings. Overall, a well-brewed, enjoyable English Brown Ale.
