Canned 2021/08/05
Pours a med smaller fizzy 1/2 finger head with med retention, a bit of lacing, mostly clear with lots of sediment floaties deep golden tan color
Nose brings lots of coconut, white chocolate, coffee, and vanilla, as promised, toasted coconut and lots of it, vanilla cream behind that, some chocolate but more white chocolate like, and a light blonde coffee, just a touch of sweet malt under that, basically all adjuncts
Taste has some actual beer up front but not a lot, sweet grainy golden malt with a bit of cereal and honey characters, then big adjuncts, vanilla up first quickly into toasted coconut but more like candied version, a little butterscotch as well, light chocolate and again more like white chocolate (which is fake chocolate btw), and a touch of bitter roasted coffee, mild bitterness that increases to a med-lighter bitterness on the sticky sweet finish, fair warming alcohol flavor
Mouth is med to fuller bod, med to a bit higher frothy carb, fair warming alcohol
Overall not a big fan, a bit of a mess actually, all adjunct, no beer, the chocolate was like the fake white chocolate, coffee was super light, vanilla was OK at least, coconut was great in the nose but more like sweetened candied coconut on the taste, and alcohol presence was a bit much, I'd rather just eat a candy bar than drink this and call it a "beer"
