MARCH 2024.
44 cl can (7,50€) - "Packaging date: 02/15/2024", drunk on 03/03/2024 (very fresh).
American "West Coast" style Double India Pale Ale with Hops: Citra Trial 702, Simcoe Cryo, Chinook CGX, Motueka, Citra, Nelson Sauvin; Malts: Pils, Cara and also added sugar and finally as Yeast: American Ale.
Citra Trial 702 is a concentrated liquid version of Citra hops.
As soon as the can is opened, it smells of (white) peach, ripe citrus fruit, light more resinous notes.
When poured, it is blonde in colour, only slightly hazy but beautifully transparent and releases little foam and little consistency.
The nose seems to have poured peach pulp juice... incredible.
In the mouth, a full-bodied beer that gives a full drink and also has a significant alcohol content.
Beer that releases fruity notes even after drinking as long as it remains on the tongue: I especially smell yellow peach. Ripe citrus fruits and grapefruit are certainly noticeable in the broad tasting bouquet. The finish is pleasantly bitter, with a herbaceous touch that remains on the tongue together with the extreme fruitiness that also pervades the palate.
Beer characterized only by this use of hops which imbue it (in a positive sense) with a vivid, tasty, juicy fruitiness, which does not go away even after some time after the last sip: in aroma, it exudes hops.
That it is an important drink can be understood just from the density that is perceived in the mouth, plus the alcohol content is noticeable even if it's masked behind the extreme fragrance of the beer.
Perfect shape.
