This Double IPA was crammed with Barbe Rouge, Belma, and Citra hops creating a taste that flows like pillowy clouds of strawberries, red currents and a hint of cantaloupe.

Reviewed the day after can release. Poured into a snulip glass. It pours an opaque tangerine color with a half finger of long-lasting creamy, eggshell-colored head and sheen of lacing. The nose is principally tart lemon, lime, grapefruit, and just a whiff of red fruit, along with lite floral hops. The taste is strongly lemon-forward with hints of grapefruit and pine needles. But as it warms a bit it sweetens with notes of melon and red berry from the Barbe Rouge and Belma hops. There is also a significant pale malt base that adds to the sweetness. The hopping provides a tangy pop but it's not overly bitter . The flavors balance nicely. This ale has a great mouth feel: it's creamy and fairly viscous with an almost perfect level of carbonation. The 8.2% ABV gives it nice substance. Overall, this is really a terrific DIPA from a new brewer. I'm impressed. The hop bill is inspired. The only think I'd like to see is the strawberry/currants a bit higher in the mix. The Citra overwhelms a bit. But this is an excellent offering and I'm looking forward to many more!

L-dark straw in color.... 1 finger head that yields a thick white cap after a minute......lacing is thick, retention solid

S-Melon, greatfruit, berries, orange

T-follows nose although taste is a bit more pungent than aroma.......berries, melon, little bitterness in the finish

F-Smooth, medium, low carb,

O- Solid, drinkable, worth another try
