Do you like collaborations? Do you like strong beers that don't taste or feel like their listed ABV? If you answered yes to both of these questions, you have your match in this beast from two of my favorite places to get beer from in New York, north of the 5 Boroughs. Lots going on here but thankfully, the alcohol took a back seat to the flavors as this was about as crushable as any 12% beer that I've ever reviewed on here!

Loved the pour to this as this had a turbid, honey hue to it with just a minimum of sediment floating in the liquid and a perfect, full head topping this off that slowly and evenly settled down. The lacing was decent although the layered rings were concentrated along the bottom half of my pint glass. Lots of exotic tropical fruit, and deep citrus in the nose as some jack fruit, nectar, heavy mango, and dank hops burst forth once this fully warmed up. A bit grassy, sticky, and plenty sweet, this left quite the coating on my palate and impression on me as I would have easily opened up another had there been one here...

Yes, that's even considering how potent this was as this was indeed a Quadruple IPA if there ever was one. A good amount of alcohol ended up on my breath, but that was no match for the dank pineapple and citrus that stuck around long after the final sip went down. Dated 7/9 with "BOMBS AWAY" written above it, this might be the beer to end your night of drinking but if you're intrepid and love these guys like I do, this could begin a session as well. So impressed with this and glad to get my hands on it, as it aged well over the last 3 months. This almost deserves to be put into a category of it's own!
