Traded for this a few months back, as I went away for the end of the summer and only got around to it this weekend. Enjoyed the Jurassic Juice a lot but for some reason, this didn't quite measure up to it as this was a bit more chill and even-keeled - both in terms of the taste and the amount of alcohol in it.
The pour to this was decent with the liquid was a muted goldenrod with a moderate haze to it. Plenty of head topped it off although the lacing left behind was nearly nonexistent, with the exception of a few scattered splotches and a faint hint of a ring near the middle of my pint glass. Some tropical fruit, swamp water, and candied sugar could be detected in the faint nose as the taste followed suit - both in terms of the flavors and their intensity. Slick and a bit sticky, the hops were here but none stood out of any the others and all of them could have been plentiful in the end.
I wouldn't call this beer a disappointment and yes, it would have been easy to have another after finishing this off although this was certainly not something I could down four or six of in a sitting. Dated 7/16 with "CAN O' DINO" written above it, this came across as the most generic of the beers that I've had thus far from Tin Barn, as quite a bit of bread and mango stayed around in the aftertaste. Maybe I need another can of this, even though this was fresh as could be in every way...
