Traded for this last week with a friend who makes quite a few runs up to Tin Barn, as I've become a fan of their beers in recent months. Once again, this was a winner from them as the presence of Zamba gave this an exotic feel while the mouthfeel was soft and reassuring throughout, as this was quite easy to get accustomed to!
Loved the pour to this as it was golden, muddled, and uniform in hue with a Fluffy and voluminous head topping it off. Tons of lacing remained near the top of my pint glass as the ring left behind was quite bubbly and thick. Not much remained below it except for some scattered spots. Lots of melon, grass, candied sugar, and bright mango in the muted nose as the flavors burst forth nicely in the taste. A bit of tangy lime, cantaloupe, exotic star and passion fruit, and Zamba hops gave this a deep and inviting flavor profile as this was full-bodied, a bit sticky, and lightly carbonated. Just a bit too much burn in the back was a turn-off but besides that, this was easy to kick back with as the alcohol was nicely hidden and the dankness drew me in until the last sip.
Thankfully, this never felt strong as I could have easy polished off another one after finishing this off. Dated 11/4 on the bottom of the can with "ZAMBA BEATZ" written above it, this was quite dank and dewy in the aftertaste but for hopheads and those who appreciate what Tin Barn's doing, this brew was worth seeking out. The hints of oats and nectar that lingered were a fitting end for this New England IPA that bordered in Imperial without ever feeling too heavy or hefty. The lovely label was on par with the liquid that I'd wouldn't mind reaching for again...
