16oz can. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with a small, white head of foam. It left sudsy lacing. It smelled of toasted coconut, chocolate, and toffee. Great toasted coconut taste with chocolate, toffee and vanilla.

16oz can, adhesive label. No dating information found.
Body color of dark roast coffee, with a two finger, large bubble, medium brown colored head, and this reduces slowly to a thin cap and higher ring. Head persists as the glass is drunk down but finally diminishes while leaving scattered lacing spots.
Aroma of sweet coconut flake and dark chocolate malt.
Taste has two focuses - a higher level of sweetness, with contributions from coconut, caramel, and vanilla, and, a lower level of dark chocolate. The two do not really blend but stay consistent on their own plain. Aftertaste is lengthy with the dark and sweeter flavors, which contribute at the same level.
A little more than medium mouthfeel. Coats the mouth. Smooth and silky but there is a dark roast coffee bitterness. Slight burn after several sips. Finishes a little chalky and dry. Very good carbonation.
The brew keeps the main actors apart, but the sum is rewarding.

From a 16oz can. Best by 05/04/2026
This is a very dark looking beer in the glass. It is a dark brown color with no light shining throught the glass. There's a thick 3 finger brown colored head to this beer. The head retention is decent, and there's a good deal of lacing on the glass.
I do get coconut notes in the nose. There's hints of chocolate that also come through. The aroma isn't faint, but, probably a touch light for the style.
The coconut flavor does hit right away off the bat. It is a bit mellow, but coconut can be that way. I am getting a good hit of dark chocolate in the flavor. This flavor leans toward baking chocolate in a way, which is a flavor I do like. There's a nice bitterness on the finish that seems like a good way to finish off the flavor profile.
The body seems to be good for a Porter. It has a nice depth to it. That bitterness feeling does linger for a bit in my throat.
Overall I'm happy with this beer, and glad I bought it. It has a decent flavor to it, the aroma is the only real light part of the beer.
