Brewed with wheat and flaked oats this double is hopped in the whirlpool with HBC 638 and YCH 702 then dry hopped and double dry hopped with HBC 638, HBC 586 and 586 Cryo. This one gives you intense aromas of mango, guava and lychee accompanied by flavors of pineapple and melon.

Appearance: Pours a moderately hazy (40% clarity) medium to deep, golden color with a mild white head. SRM of 8. (4.00)
Aroma: Strong aromas of orange, grapefruit, tropical, strawberries, pineapple, blueberries, and melon underneath. (4.00)
Flavor: Strong flavors of orange, grapefruit, pineapple, zesty citrus, with some pineapple, melon, mango, and blueberries underneath. Juicy and zesty. (4.25)
Feel: Medium to heavier bodied, strong carbonation. Finishes citrusy, tropical and clean. (4.00)
Compared to BlackStack Crowd Control 9/24: Pours darker, stronger aromas. More citrus, grapefruit, pineapple, blueberries. Less sweet orange, mango. Cleaner. Winner: Hybrid Minds
Overall: a collab between Elm Creek and BlackStack. A variety of hops here. Very complex and zesty citrus and tropical flavors. Guava, lychee, grape. An excellent array of hop flavors and these hops need some names. Hides the alcohol well for the ABV. This is a deceptively excellent imperial IPA. What a fantastic collaboration and the best of the Hybrid Minds four-pack from Elm Creek. (Rating: 4.10)

From a 16oz can. There's a date on the can, but it's cut off.
This beer looks slightly murky and hazy. Somewhat lemon colored. There's a 3 finger white head that is fluffy looking. Great head retention, and some great lacing on the glass.
Aroma is slightly tropical citrus. I get some mango and pineapple.
Taste - Has tropical citrus notes. I get a good hit of pineapple in here. There's a faint mango hit. There's a faint hint of dank on the backside. Some bitterness hits on the back.
The body is somewhat soft feeling. There's a bit of bubbly character to this beer. Somewhat sticky and clingy feeling.
Not bad at all.
