Rich, dark amber and gem clear (SRM 8-10). A short-lived, almond-white head forms a tight foam and leaves spotty lace on a PBGC dimpled mug.
Toasted malt leads to sweet caramel. The aroma is clean and simple with nice, crisp grain.
Flavor follows the nose tightly. Malt dominates with light sweetness, while just a hint of hop bitterness keeps it balanced. Toasted malt leads to caramelized malt before finishing with water cracker. A mild finish fades quickly, then lingers faintly.
The slick and smooth texture accentuates a medium body. Alcohol is as expected and the carbonation is light and fizzy.
This is another excellent Lager from a small new brewery. The beer works exceptionally well with crisp Autumn weather and the aroma of leaves. Very well done.
