Using a double walled pint glass, the muddy maroon beer looks like a mess. A big, dark pastel pinkish head holds 1” for about a minute before quickly turning rocky and falling to small patches. Sticky lacework is left on the glass.
The aroma has the mild tartness of cranberries followed by unpleasant soap. Aside from this, there is nothing worth note.
Similarly, the flavors are mild. Basically it is like a watered down cranberry juice, although more sweet and tart. The finish is relentlessly long, without adding anything to the mix.
A thin body with a nylon texture and highly effervescent carbonation. Alcohol seems to be much higher than expected. The finish is dry.
As an afternoon refreshment, this beer actually works nicely. Perhaps it would also work in a beer cocktail of some kind. Beer cocktails are not my thing, and there are better options for afternoon refreshments.
