Ale brewed with orange and guava.
This is no ordinary beer. Brought to you by friends of The Lost Abbey, this beer is 100% Brutus T Bubbles approved. Pours clear golden. Smells of guava and earthy yeast tones. Tastes or orange throughout with guava tartness. Light and very drinkable. Well carbonated.

12 oz. can. Pours clear golden. Smells of guava and earthy yeast tones. Tastes of orange throughout with guava and earthy yeast tones. The slightest bit of yeast acidity. Light body and very drinkable. Well carbonated. Easy drinking and pleasant. And while I know it's not supposed to be an assault on the taste buds, it is a touch dull.

It is puzzling to me that the largest lettering on the label says "BRUT ALE" and only on the back does it say "inspired by a traditional German Gose." But it does taste like a Gose, salty and acidic, not quite sour but plenty tart. Aroma seems to be virtually lacking, though there is a hint of citrus in the nose.
This is not a bad Gose, though the fruit flavor is unidentifiable. Clean and sharp. Actually it tastes more like an extremely dry hard seltzer with a dose of unripe blackberry. From the skinny 12 oz can purchased from Bine & Vine. An appealing concept that might work with light flavored Saison styles with some yeast.
