Sampling a cellar temp 12 oz can poured into my snifter. The beer is part of a swap with @jvgoor3786. thank you!
the beer pours jet black in color with a fizzy brown head of 1 cm developing with an aggressive pour. This foam fades to a thin edge layering pretty quickly after the can is empty.
Really spotty lacing when I swirl the glass or take a sip.
Aroma is lots of roasted malt, dark chocolate, some anice, and mild bourbon notes. I dont get any hop profile on the nose.
First sip reveals a soft smooth textured beer with gentle spacious carbonation. Very easy drinking and I do get a bit of a coating on my lips after each sip.
Flavor is dark malts with dark chocolate some dark fruits, raisin mostly, some brown sugar too. I also get some light bourbon notes and toffee, and a bit of a wooden flavor and then the bourbon is what lingers. No heat, just the sweeter flavor of bourbon. Hops absent.
This beer drinks ridiculously smoothly and the ABV is well hidden making for a dangerous combo. Another solid beer from a sadly closed brewery.

Pours pitch black, completely opaque, and quite viscous. Lovely, three finger velvety mocha colored head. The head dissipates until just a thin ring of foam remains on the outside of the beer. Aroma has notes of tobacco, chocolate, roasted malts, some light smoked malt notes, oaky bourbon notes and a hint of dark fruit. Really a lovely, complex aroma. The addition of that light smokiness really adds a wonderful dimension to it.
Taste has notes of roasted malts, molasses, oak, tobacco, bourbon, chocolate, brown sugar, and cola. Its actually much sweeter than I expected from the nose - not overly sweet by any stretch, but there is a definite sweetness to it. The sweetness has a somewhat caramelly character to it. Mouthfeel is full bodied, thick, and viscous. Smooth, gentle carbonation. Somewhat drier finish on the back end.
Overall its a lovely barrel aged stout. Very well integrated and delicious. Too bad this one won't be produced anymore, because it really is a stellar beer.

No canning date information on can or 4 pack holder
Pours an effervescent ebony with a thumb+ of cocoa colored head. Below average head retention & lacing
S: Dark fruit, a little booze, a little medicinal cough syrup
T: Follows the nose, plenty of cherry, figs, leafy hops, Baker's Chocolate & a little barrel dryness up front. Dryness, cordial cherry, leafy hops, a kiss of Bourbon & dark chocolate as this warms, a little roastyness as well. Finishes dry with dark chocolate, sweet cherries, a little booze bite, a little bit of figs
MF Chewy, low carbonation. Carbonation picks up once warm
A Rock solid take on the style as good as Ozark's BDCS IMHO flavor-wise, nose needs work

Received from @jdell15 in an NBS BIF. No evident canning date. Poured into a snifter glass. It pours nearly black with a generous, fluffy, medium-mocha head that dissipated quickly leaving a thin sheen of lacing inside the glass. The nose features roasted malt, dark chocolate, freshly brewed coffee, and whiffs of brown sugar, vanilla, oak, and dark fruit. There is also noticeable but subtle bourbon. Chocolate dominates the initial taste along with vanilla, brown sugar, and coffee. As in the smell there is bourbon presence in the flavor but it's delicate and adds sweetness. There are also notes of burnt nuts, molasses, and black cherry. The flavors blend superbly and the bourbon contributes but doesn't overwhelm. It's really flavorful. It has a thick, creamy mouthfeel - not quite chewy - with low/moderate carbonation, and the 10% ABV is well-hidden. Overall, The Alpha & the Omega is a wonderful blend of barrel-aged and non BA stouts. I'm impressed how smoothly it drinks and how much the bourbon contributes without distracting. I would drink this often if it were available in New Jersey.

Good head production for the style and ABV, albeit short lived and slightly fizzy.
Nose features bourbon, with notes of sweet mash, coconut, oak, and vanilla. Slightly boozy. Stout tones are slightly subdued, but I get molasses, brown sugar, and caramel.
Very slight bite to the mouthfeel, but it's not fizzy; full bodied, and smooths out over the sip.
Fairly sweet, with the heavy malt base and bourbon leading the way. Cherry, vanilla, and chocolate.
Roasty middle with toast and light char. Brown sugar, more vanilla, and more chocolate.
Bourbon and oak finish. Cream, cherry, caramel.
I have no idea where this cherry flavor expression comes from, but I love it. Everything comes together beautifully. It's a big bodied BBA imperial stout with a wonderfully unique flavor profile.

Pours a deep black with a quick tan head and no lacing.
The smell is dark fruits, chocolate, and vanilla. There's a small barrel presence underneath.
The taste is dark chocolate, dark fruits, caramel, and minimal barrel - particularly on the finish.
The mouthfeel is thick, minimum/medium carbonation with a lingering, slightly bitter finish
Overall, this beer is outstanding. Possibly the second best beer I've had from Arkansas.
