Very, very little head - ~1/8 of an inch from a strong pour. Slightly fizzy, and it is shortly gone. The body is lemon yellow, hazy, pulpy, and nearly opaque. Looks quite a bit like orange juice when viewed from the top.
Really juicy nose along with a hint of dankness and some bright herbs. Orange, mango, pineapple, and ruby red grapefruit.
Similarly juicy on the palate, but it's not overly sweet. Slightly herbal and astringent up front. Dankness is limited to the back third, and even then it's mild. A bit of hop astringency and some mild burn on the finish, but not particularly bitter.
Very lively, slightly thin and watery. If this is truly aiming to emulate the NE-style, it significantly misses the mark on mouthfeel. That said, taken as a single IPA with fairly low bitterness for the style and just happens to be rather murky, it's quite tasty and drinkable.
