Received from @jdell15 in a BIF. No evident canning date. It pours a hazy, golden-straw color with a large, foamy, bright white cap and significant soapy lacing. The smell is mostly malty and floral with some faint lemon and grapefruit. The taste opens with notes of tangerine and peach over a malty backbone. The Julius hops provide lots of fruitiness up front and a bitter finish. This ale boasts lively carbonation and is fairly lite in the mouthfeel. It drinks very easily at 5.8% ABV. Overall, while not complex in flavor, Chicken & Dumplins is easy drinking and enjoyable. It's big enough to pair with grilled meats but lite enough for session drinking. A nice offering and the can label art is great.
