Pale ale with distilled and flash brewed coffee. This is a really unique take on coffee beer. We used Letty Bermudez, a thermal shock anaerobic geisha by Manhattan Coffee Roasters two ways in collaboration with Dayglow Coffee. First to compliment the Lithuanian Farmhouse yeast, the distilled coffee has a beautiful tropical sweetness and notes of oolong tea. Then a bit of flash brewed coffee to add a balanced and subtle candy peach / mango sweetness, finishing nice and dry.

This is more of a fruity kettle soured ale than pale ale, let alone a coffee pale ale.
Bright orange with sharp clarity, large loose bubbles aren’t a good sign. Minimal spotty lace, thin ring of foam, bare patchy skim. Second pour clouds it up a little. After a few minutes it’s dead still like juice.
Aroma is acidic, lightly cidery, vaguely tropical.
Tart verging on sour, first sip is certainly puckering. Cider apples, light retronasal bacterial funk in the finish. Still, no carb. If you told me this was a cider, i’d believe it. Honestly it tastes like a small version of their co-ferment cider saison, Black.
Edit: Second can had a bit more coffee flavor and carbonation, but it was still fairly mild. Odd beer. For $6 a single, I don't think they can afford many inconsistencies like this.
