very light and traditional mild here, no new school hoppiness or anything, and the yeast is right, i was quite pleased with this, and while i only had time for two beers in here, i liked them both quite a bit. this is rather true to style, maybe a touch less malt depth, more generic crystal than complex english grain nuance, like im missing toasted and nutty notes, toffee and honey, less of the maris otter earthiness too, but the yeast makes up for some of that, and the simplicity lends to dryness and drinkability, both of which are on point in this. there is a little astringency to this orange rusty toned liquid, a little weirdness to the ferment through the old world strain characteristics, it cheapens this a little, but to me its an endearing amateurish vibe, not a grossness or failure. lighter medium body, just a light biscuit warmth to this, and balancing hop bitterness at the end. simple all day beer with a malt lean and a refreshing when cold capacity. neat space here, solid beer list, ill be back.
