Matte black with a fairly short but dense head of tan caviar bubbles.
A wonderful body exhibits a bold barrel expression with excellent chocolatey malt while the oak adds Reisen, coconut, a little nuttiness and a touch of whiskey. The cherry is there, but as if ribboned through a donut.

This BA Stout with tart cherries, toasted coconut and cinnamon was served in a snifter at the brewery's taproom in Battle Creek Michigan.
The coconut comes out clearly on the nose but is masked by strong whisky, cherry, cinnamon and oak barrel flavors in the taste. Near harmonious and well balanced but ultimately a bit too sweet.

Some cinnamon flavor comes through in addition to the cherries and rum barrel. Very good beer.
