Pours opaque, murky, dark brown with a purple hue and with a mid-sized purple tinged head. Stable. Settles as paper thin layer of foam stretching to cover the surface f the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet, slightly sugary odor of ripe dark berries, lactose and a light tart touch. Blackcurrants, blackberries and blueberries. Whiff of tart gooseberries peeking in. Lactose and added sugar.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, smooth, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong and slightly sugary sweetness followed by a moderately strong tart bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a light tart undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is soft ans sweet.
