Copenhagen 29/1 2022. 50 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Some very red and runny abstract art on the can and a little French tricolore.
Pours opaque, hazy, slightly dirty pale yellow with a small white head. Settles as thin, flimsy layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet fruity, fermented odor mingling with more subdued scent of citrus fruit. Fermented mango and peach. Sharp citrus.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a rough bitter undertone. Lingers for a while. Semi-dry finish.
I assume that the French like their Indian Pale Ale quite sweet.
