From the growler via the brewery in a snifter "Grat Dane" which is not
misspelled (!?!?) pours a dark brownish black with a very nice head of
khaki foam that subsides to a thick ring, thin light film, and shows some nice
lacing. Nose of dark chocolate, dark roasted malts, dark coffee hints, and subtle
cream. Flavors show a nice deft of brewing with dark cocoa, dark coffee, cream,
light char and roast, faint herbal hops, and touches of dark fruit. Nice mouth feel;
medium full body, light subtly prickly carbonation, and a lightly bitter malt finish
with touches of dark roasted malts.
Overall----this fine brewery deserves some more attention!
