From the growler via the brewery in a snifter. This solid "wee heavy"
labeled as a Scottish ale from the brewery on Untappd pours a dark
red tinged mahogany color with a moderate head of off white foam that settles
to a thick ring, thin light layer, and sports some nice lacing. Nose of dark
roasted malts, subtle dark berry notes, subtle peat, and dark breaded
malts. Flavors hit it right with dark breaded malts, dark roasted malts,
brown sugars, dark berry notes of blackberry, and light peat hints. Nice
mouth feel; medium verging on medium light body, smooth, light carbonation,
and a roasted malt laden finish.
Overall---solid
