12 ounce blue wax capped bottle, no dating I noticed on the bottle or label. Big thanks to Brutaltruth for this one! Served in a snifter, the beer pours a mahogany brown/copper color with maybe a half inch light tan head that stuck around a while. Small amount of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like vanilla, dark fruit, toffee, brown sugar, and some bourbon. I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's the addition of some oak, bready, caramel and herbal flavors. Sweeter tasting compared to the base version. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's slick and a bit rich but has low carbonation. The carb is kinda low for my liking, but other than that this is a pretty good brew overall, wouldn't mind trying it again in the future!

From the growler via the brewery in a snifter. This monster pours a dark
ruby tinged burnt auburn with a decent head of off white foam that settles to
a thick ring, faint swirling layer, and has faint lacing. Nose of light bourbon,
faint oak, vanilla, toffee, raisin, and dark cherry. Flavors hit the mark with
bourbon, subtle oak, brown sugars, light toffee, cherry, caramel, dark raisin,
and spicy alcohol esters. Mouth feel is medium, light carbonation, smooth,
rich, moderately warming with well hidden booze, and a lightly dry finish
dashed with herbal and pine touched hops with warmth.
Overall, a SOLID little brew!
A hidden gem in the Cincy brewery landscape!
Cheers
