Half Life, Hazy IPA with Citra and Citra Spectrum
We're always excited to try new hop products, this time with Spectrum, a liquid extract produced by BarthHaas that's 100% hops with no added solvents. We used this in addition to traditional Citra T-90 pellets to give a full Citra experience. Layed on top of a pillowy texture are flavors of orange zest, grapefruit, lime, melon, and lighter tropical notes of mango and passionfruit.

Had Half Life at the Narrative Fermentations taproom, San Jose, Cal., on draft into Willi Becher.
Pours grapefruit gold, with 1-finger near-white head, with decent retention, leaving some sketchy lace down the glass. Aroma of sharp citrus, which continues, and some mild malt as warms. Big mouthfeel to start, and sweet citrus, then smooth and malty, before a big, citrusy, biting finish.
A very nice all-Citra NEIPA.
