Really dark brown, with a little clear edge of dark auburn, in glass. Soft, dark roasted grains, with a bit of sweetness and a good musty smell that seems to come from a very lightly toasted barrel. A bit light but there is a good dose of dark roasted grains and some dark toasted malt, in the taste and the dark roast grains supply a good little bite that lasts awhile, in the finish.
