Cherry Kolsch has a thin, egg-shell colored head, a clear, orange appearance (under strong light), bubbles, and no lacing. The aroma is of slight cherry and some white bread. The flavor is of yeasty bread and cherry. Cherry Kolsch has a medium body and a mostly-dry finish. It is wine like, in some ways. This was a 12oz. can, included in the 2022 Aldi Advent Calendar variety pack.

Appearance: A vast, coarse and persistent cloud top head surmounts a slightly hazy amber red body. The lacing is superb, presenting a thick, slightly irregular and unbroken ring. Clouds of minute bubbles drift lazily to the surface.

Aroma: Cherries and bread malt are prominent in the aroma, The aroma is reminiscent of Sam Adams Cherry Wheat, if my recollections are accurate.

Taste: The taste opens with a note of cherry, very pleasant and only slightly sweet. Notes of mildly sweet malt are also present, but are secondary to the cherry. Late in the taste, a little mild, grassy hop bitterness appears. This vies with the cherry flavors at the close, but the cherry lingers on pleasantly.

Mouth feel: Full and soft, quite pleasant, with just a kiss of sharp carbonation.

Drinkability/notes: Really quite nice, I had forgotten how pleasant a cherry beer could be, I haven't seen any my area for years, this was a pleasant reminder of that. I wish more breweries produced cherry beers.

Presentation: Packaged in a standard twelve-ounce brown glass long-neck bottle with a pry-off crown, served in a La Fin du Monde tulip.

Source: Purchased at Wal-Mart in Texas as a selection of a Brewmaster's Choice build-your-own six-pack for $8.99.

From the can, it pours a slightly hazy reddish amber with a nice light pink head that slowly reduces. The nose gets a slight cherry scent and a sweet malt. The taste is a bit tart with some maltiness coming through.

Teribble. Worst beer I ever had. Taste is of fermented urine with a smell almost as bad. When it hits the stomach I want to throw up. I had to use mouthwash extensively to rid the taste. I would not give this to my worst enemy. I thought about pouring the other 5 cans to clean my toilete.
All in one reaction: yuck.
