Irish Style Dry Stout is remarkably similar to Maguires. It has a thick, beige head and a very dark brown appearance, with some lacing. The aroma is of dark-roasted malt, chocolate, and sourness. The flavor is similar, with low bitterness and sweetness. Irish Style Dry Stout has a rather thin body and a dry finish. This is a fairly dull product.

Appearance: Onyx black,, even before a strong light source, with massive, coarse cloud top tan head with excellent retention. Patches of fat bubbles cling to the glass wall, beneath the surface. Belgian-style lacing adorns the glass wall.
Aroma: Roasted barley, cold coffee, and bitter cocoa comprise the aroma.
Taste: The taste opens with moderate roasted barley and bitter cocoa, later in the taste, there is a note of cold coffee. As the taste draws to a close, there is a bit of a charcoal note and some modest herbal hops.
Mouth feel: Smooth and rich, full and pleasant, with modest soft carbonation.
Drinkability/notes: A very nice and quite drinkable example, with a modest ABV of 4.2%, this would make a very nice session beer.. I wish i could find this in six-packs.
Presentation: Packaged in a standard twelve-ounce aluminum can, served in a La Fin du Monde tulip. Beer number four in the 2022 Aldi Beer Advent Calendar.

From the can, it pours a clear dark stygian brown with a nice large light brown head that soon reduces to a thin layer. The nose gets some roasted and burnt malt, The mouth gets a light in body with roasted and burnt malt flavor.

Poured from a can. Dark in color with a tan head that dissipates quickly and some lacing. Smells of roasted grain, sweet malt, coffee and chocolate. Flavors of roasted grain, chocolate and malt. Smooth and the flavor is really good.
