Amber Ale has a thick, egg shell head and a clear amber appearance, with lots of lacing. The aroma is of yeasty, bread crust. The flavor is of white bread crust and a sharp tannic bitterness. Amber Ale has a medium body and a dry finish.

From the can in the 2022 Aldi Bier Advent Calendar, it pours a clear amber color with a nice off-white head that soon reduces to a layer of spotty foam and lacing. The nose gets some malty notes. The mouth gets a pleasant somewhat malty brew with notes of caramel.
