Appearance: Slightly hazy medium golden in color, with a large, dense and quite persistent snow-white head. Clouds of small bubbles rise rapidly to the surface. The lacing is scattered and patchy.
Aroma: Grassy and herbal hops vie with cracker and bread malts, yielding a pleasant and balanced aroma.
Taste: The taste begins with bread and cracker malt, soon followed by fairly prominent grassy and herbal hops. The hops dominate the taste from early on to the end of the taste, though there is a small flourish of mildly sweet bread malt midway to late in the taste. The hop bitterness assumes a metallic and medicinal character late in the taste and lingers on.
Mouth feel: It seems just a bit thin, with zesty carbonation, but pleasant.
Drinkability/notes: A pleasant and drinkable example. Perhaps not as good as the best German Pilseners, but not bad, at all.
Presentation: Packaged in a standard twelve-ounce aluminum can, served in a La Fin du Monde tulip.

German Style Pilsner has a very thick, yellow-white, spongy head, and a somewhat clear, golden appearance, with powdery sediment, throughout, and heavy lacing. The aroma is of sulfur and white bread crust. The flavor is of savory, unsalted cracker, with bold & grassy hop bitterness. German Style Pilsner has a medium body and a crisp finish.

Poured from a can. Straw in color with a white head and good lacing. Smells of bread, malt and yeast. Flavors of malt, bread and an earthy hint and slightly bitter end. Good pilsner

From the can in the 2022 and 2023 Aldi Advent Calendar, it pours a slightly hazy light yellow golden color with a small white head that slowly reduces - a little less thick than one would expect from a German pilsner. The nose gets a grassy herbal scent. The taste is lightly bitter, with a nice malt base.
