Clear, golden body; dense, slow-rising carbonation; thick head, white and frothy, very long-lasting. Beautiful nose; spicy; a hint of anise and cardamom; slight mustiness. Wonderful taste; earthy spiciness; peppermint and cloves; light and delicate malt base; banana-like esters. Medium-heavy body; crisp and ticklish feel on the palate; spicy sweetness.
This is one of the most interesting weizenbiers I recall tasting. It brings a bold clove-like zest to the palate. The looks and feel are top-notch, too.
ABV: 4.8%; pouring temperature: 49.8 °F; canning info: n/a

Pours murky, pale gold in color with one inch head. Taste is banana, hay, and bubblegum. Medium light body, moderate low carbonation, slightly sweet. Nice but I prefer other heres. Not as strong a banana flavor.

No can date
Pours a fluffy creamy 1 finger head with good retention, soapy lacing, semi hazy semi clear golden pale color
Nose plenty of wheat, doughy creamy wheat with some cake batter, dough, vanilla spice, fruity esters, banana, a little citrus orange, pome fruit
Taste brings a lot more doughy wheat, creamy, some cake batter, esters kick in with more banana, pome fruit, more citrus, orange zest, a touch grassy, a little vanilla cake with banana on top, drier finish
Mouth is med bod, med small bubble carb, creamy wheat
Overall pretty nice, right on point for weissbier

Undated can; drank 8/15/24 @ the Yarchives.
Cloudy dull orange appearance.
A rough pour yielded a big white head; frothy tree-rung lacing remained.
Banana & soft wheat notes in the nose.
Soft medium mouthfeel.
Banana & soft wheat flavors. Simple; effective.

Getting the whole family involved, the traditions of Plank-Bier is alive and well with Grandpa Plank's Weissbier and their adherence to the reinheitsgebot.
Pouring a tarnish gold color and caught in that classic wheaten cloud, Grandpa Plank's, slowly builds a frothy white sea pillow of foam. As a spice forward scent of clove and tea rolls off of the rim, a fruity scent is citrusy, cidery, winey and bolder tropical fruit. Its sweetness is steely with light caramel as hints of fresh bread and a lightly toasted taste that gives a glimpse into tradition.
While retaining a fruit-forward balance, the beer's bready sweetness slowly fades into a light cola character with hint of light pecan, toast and breadiness. The spicy aromas resonate strongly also in taste with an earthy rawness seeming of toasted grain and whole wheat. A refreshing tartness brings a taste of banana, lemon and apple to the late taste with hints of wine and cider with a slim minty hop profile. A typical bitterness rises on the late palate with a stemmy wodsiness equipped with sassafras and lemon pepper.
Light in body, Grandpa Plank's is a throwback flavor that's refreshing and rustic. A woody lemon character chases the taste into a medium-short finish with a brief aftertaste of toasted bread..
