500 ml bottle, purchased at the brewery about a month ago, no dating I noticed on it. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with at least a couple inch tan head that fizzled away somewhat quickly. Looks like some little coconut floaties in the brew. I like the aroma, the brew smells like coconut, cream, roasted malt, vanilla, roasted malt and some bourbon. Taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some rye spice, coffee, dark bread and oaky flavors. Good amount of coconut, it stands out to me in both the taste and aroma but doesn't overpower everything else. Nice balance between the sweet and other flavors. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's coating with a good amount of carbonation. I thought this was a good overall brew, recommended if you like coconut stouts or just imperial stouts in general.
